    Lumency House Toronto has an opportunity for a Part-time Accounts Payable Coordinator (Associate Consultant, Accounts Payable) to support our growing Finance and Governance team. You will be exposed to an array of projects and teams, allowing you the opportunity to learn all elements involved in Finance and Accounting at a Creative Agency. You will be supporting the Finance Manager, with emphasis on Accounts Payable.


    This position will work out of Lumency House Toronto three to four days per week.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Accounts Payable

    • Review all invoices and distribute to appropriate workgroups for approval
    • Review & verify CRA documentation
    • Prioritize invoices/expenses according to payment terms
    • Utilize Workbook software for all invoices
    • Prepare and process electronic transfers, cheques and wire payments
    • Match invoicing to EFT reporting
    • Manage invoice filing
    • Reconcile vendor statements, identify discrepancies
    • Review monthly expense accounts
    • Assist Consultant, Finance in ad hoc duties
    • Opportunity for additional responsibilities to continue to build knowledge, skills, and abilities

    Relationship Management

    • Foster relationships with vendors and team members
    • Maintain clear, open lines of communication with people manager, workgroup, and agency at large

    • Support ongoing development of a positive agency culture
    • Comfort with an open-concept, dynamic agency environment
    • Act as a Lumency champion in the marketplace



    • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance (an asset)



    • 1-3 years experience in Accounts Payable
    • Experience working in a small to medium-size business (an asset)  
    • Experience processing Canadian and US payables (an asset)
    • Experience with multiple accounting software tools.  Experience with Workbook software is not required; training will be provided.
